The Art of Dining: A History of Cooking and Eating. Sara Paston-Williams. The National Trust. Harry N. Abrams, Inc., Publishers, London. 1993 (reprint 1995).
This is a beautiful book. Art, history, recreated tables and kitchens, recipes, floor plans for pantries and kitchens… Anyone doing research would fin the Bibliography useful as it is arranged by time period and includes historical references. This one caught my eye–
Claxton, William, The Noble Boke of Curtasye (including The Babees Boke of Manners), 1475.

Oh wow! What a beautiful book that is right up my alley. Adding to my growing wish list.
